Private Sector Installations
In addition to the City installing chargers, the private sector will play a critical role in providing charging opportunities for EV drivers. Similar to gas stations, some EV charging companies will purchase or lease space to install chargers and for a fee or with a subscription allow EV drivers to recharge their batteries. Additionally, businesses with parking lots will install chargers and may assess a fee or let customers charge for free.
