Climate Change

One of the first cities in the nation to take up the climate challenge, San Francisco has continued to lead the way by developing policies and taking action to meet greenhouse gas reduction goals. Over the past 22 years, San Francisco reduced its carbon footprint by 23.3% from 1990 levels, even as the city’s economy and population grew.
