The green economy is alive and thriving in San Francisco, and SF Environment is forging the path to a more economically viable, socially just, sustainable city.


SF Environment seeks environmental justice in the City’s underserved neighborhoods by supporting community projects that promote healthy homes, clean air and food security.  We support local initiatives to reduce climate change and address health disparities in low-income neighborhoods.

The Zero Waste Program awards grant funding to non-profit organizations whose work in source reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting helps San Francisco reach its goal of zero waste by 2020. Read>
