Congratulations Environment Now Graduates!

The 2012 class of Environment Now, SF Environment’s green jobs program, graduates on May 10. Environment Now focuses on ecoliteracy and environmental stewardship while developing participants’ communication, customer service, and computer skills. Environment Now participants draw on these skills to conduct outreach activities throughout San Francisco, with an emphasis on neighborhoods in need. The graduates have worked on various environmental issues over their 2 years at the Department, ranging from energy efficiency to zero waste and toxics reduction to urban forestry. Collectively, they have reached over 75,000 SF residents and businesses with our environmental initiatives, making our city and our economy a whole lot greener.

Now in its third year, Environment Now recruits participants from other City-sponsored workforce development programs, creating a career pipeline for new workers in the sustainability sector.

SF Environment commends the following graduates and thanks them for their service to our city:

Donald Britten, Delmy Bourne, Jennifer McPike, Antonio Napoleon, Marilyn Panganiban, Mike Scott, Marie Tongol, and Fu Rong Zhou
