·         Public Safety Building at Mission Bay is now LEED BDC v2009 Gold certified.  This 308,000 square foot building is designed to exceed the federal water efficiency requirements by 64%.  Heating requirements are 37% less and cooling needs are 67% less than a code-minimum building.

·         SF Municipal LEED certified portfolio = 7,194,094 square feet

4.       Presentation:  Mark Palmer will present on Acoustic Performance, a new LEED v4 credit intended to provide workspaces and classrooms that promote occupants’ well-being, productivity, and communications through effective acoustic design. (15 minutes) Presentation and Discussion

5.       Old Business:

·         A Waiver Request will be presented and submitted for Moccasin Building 76 for LEED EQc3.1. (10 minutes) Discussion and Possible Action

·         SF Environment Code Chapter 7 LEED v4 amendment (20 minutes) Discussion and Possible Action

Important Information

Persons unable to attend the meeting may submit to the Task Force, by the time the proceedings begin, written comments regarding the agenda items above. These comments will be made a part of the official public record and shall be brought to the attention of the Task Force members. Any written comments should be sent to: Mark Palmer, San Francisco Department of the Environment, 1455 Market St., Suite 1200, San Francisco, California 94103 by 5:00 p.m. on the day prior to the hearing. Comments which cannot be delivered to Mr. Palmer by that time may be taken directly to the hearing at the location above. When bringing handouts to meetings, please photocopy on both sides of the paper and try to use post-consumer recycled or tree-free paper.  Also, please bring sufficient copies of handouts for the Task Force and the public.

The ringing of and use of cell phones, pagers and similar sound-producing electronic devices are prohibited at this meeting.  Please be advised that the Chair may order the removal from the meeting room of any person(s) responsible for the ringing or use of a cell phone, pager, or other similar sound-producing electronic devices.

Public Comment

At this time, members of the public may address the Task Force on items of interest that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Task Force but are not on today’s agenda.  Public comment will be taken following each agendized item.  Each member of the public may address the Task Force for up to three minutes, unless otherwise announced by the Chair. If it is demonstrated that the comments by the public will exceed 15 minutes, the Chair may continue Public Comment to another time during the meeting.

The Brown Act forbids the Task Force from taking action or discussing any item or issue not appearing on the posted agenda.  This rule applies to issues raised in public comment as well.   In response to public comment, not on an agendized item, the Task Force is limited to:

1.        Briefly responding to statements made or questions posed by members of the public, or

2.        Request staff to report back on a matter at a subsequent meeting, or

3.        Directing staff to place the item or issue on a future agenda (Government Code Section 54954.2(a).)

Disability Access

The Municipal Green Building Task Force Meeting will be held at 30 Van Ness Avenue.  The meeting room is accessible by wheelchair.  The closest accessible BART station is Civic Center, four blocks from City Hall.  Accessible MUNI lines serving this location are the #5 Fulton/McAllister, #19 Polk, #21 Hayes, #42 Downtown Loop, #47 Van Ness, #49 Van Ness/Mission, #71 Haight/Noriega, the F-line to Market and Van Ness, and the MUNI Metro stations at Van Ness and Market and Civic Center.  The closest MUNI Metro stations are at Van Ness & Market and Civic Center.  For more information about MUNI accessible services, please call 923-6142. There is accessible parking in the vicinity of City Hall, underneath Civic Center Plaza, and adjacent to Davies Symphony Hall and the Veterans War Memorial complex.  Large print agendas, audiotapes of minutes, sound-enhancement equipment, and other services to aid the visually and hearing-impaired to attend the meeting are available by calling 554-6390.

Language Access

Meeting Minutes may be translated, if requested, after they have been adopted.  Assistance in additional languages may be honored whenever possible. Know your rights under the Sunshine Ordinance
