Register on the California Green Business Network

Here are the steps in the process:

Register at GreenBusinessCA.org.
Choose the recognition level you want to start at – Efficiency (Entry-level), Certified, or Innovator.
Submit completed pre-site visit checklist.
Schedule a phone consultation with a Green Business staff member.
Set up a site visit to verify that San Francisco Green Business standards are being met.
Receive your San Francisco Green Business recognition and maintain your green practices.

Program Standards

To be recognized as a San Francisco Green Business, applicants must meet the program standards and be in compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.

SF Green Business program standards are developed by program staff with input from industry experts, utility companies, pollution prevention professionals, City inspectors and trade associations. San Francisco Green Business standards incorporate local ordinance requirements and environmental services available to businesses in the City.

If your business does not currently meet our sustainability standards, our Green Business team will help you complete the measures by connecting you to free City resources and rebates.
