San Francisco has over 20 used motor oil collection centers around the City where you can safely dispose of your used motor oil and filters for FREE. Some centers also accept antifreeze. See the map of drop-off locations.
- Call before visiting, because sometimes the tanks are full.
- Do not mix used motor oil with anything!
- Sites accept up to 5 gallons per visit. If you have more than five gallons of used motor oil or other toxic products such as paint and pesticides, call 415.330.1405 to schedule a Free Home Collection.
If you see used oil dumped on a city street or leaking from a container, call 311 to report it.
