The Great Race for Clean Air is On!
The race is on between Bay Area employers to reduce pollution and improve air quality by encouraging employees to participate in the Great Race for Clean Air and change how they commute to work. From September 1 through October 31, thousands of Bay Area commuters will participate in ridesharing, vanpooling, biking, walking or riding transit. Register now!
Commuting to and from work is a major source of Bay Area air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Employees are more willing to change their commuting behavior when it is encouraged through their employer. Make a commitment to reducing the air quality impact from your employees’ daily commutes by joining the Great Race for Clean Air!
The annual event is a competition between Bay Area companies and organizations of all sizes to encourage their employees to try alternatives to driving alone. At the conclusion of the Great Race, winning company teams will be recognized for highest CO2 savings and highest average of “clean commute days” logged per participant.
Employer registration runs from July 16 through August 31. The Great Race for Clean Air is sponsored by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District in partnership with 511 Rideshare. For more information and to register your company for the Great Race, visit www.sparetheair.org.
