Should I be concerned about storing my food in plastic?

Choose stainless steel or glass containers for storing food or liquids.

When plastic food storage containers are stressed, they can release harmful chemicals and additives like Bisphenol A (BPA). Microwaves, high temperatures, fatty foods and scratched or old containers facilitate the release of chemicals. Once released, these chemicals migrate into your food and are linked to numerous negative health effects ranging from cancer to reproductive health issues.
