Resolution commending Chris Buck for his service and dedication to the City and County of San Francisco’s Urban Forestry Council and for improving San Francisco’s urban forest.
WHEREAS, Chris Buck was appointed to the Urban Forestry Council by the Department of Public Works on September 1, 2009 as their department representative; and,
WHEREAS, Chris Buck has served the City and County of San Francisco as a member of the Urban Forestry Council from September 1, 2009 to July 14, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, Chris Buck served on the Landmark Tree Committee from March 1, 2012 to July 14, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, Chris Buck served on the Planning and Funding Committee from March 1, 2012 to July 14, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, Chris Buck extended his support beyond the commitment he made to each committee, providing invaluable review, reporting, and examination of all Landmark Tree nominations that were considered during his tenure on the Council; and,
WHEREAS, Chris Buck provided detailed and valuable feedback on the Urban Forestry Council’s recommendations to include groves in the Landmark Tree Code and supported connecting the UFC’s work on the Landmark Tree Code with the Department of Public Works; and,
WHEREAS, Chris Buck contributed his comprehensive expertise and skill to the development of the 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 Annual Urban Forest Report, and;
WHEREAS, Chris Buck assisted with representing the Council at all San Francisco’s Arbor Day celebrations during his tenure on the Council; and,
WHEREAS, Chris Buck provided expert opinion that was instrumental in furthering the objectives of the Council; and,
WHEREAS, Chris Buck devoted a loyal dedication of service throughout his extensive appointment period; now, therefore be it,
RESOLVED, The Urban Forestry Council extends its gratitude and commends Chris Buck for his dedication to the Urban Forestry Council; and, be it
FURTHIS RESOLVED, The Urban Forestry Council wishes Chris Buck well in his future endeavors.
