SF Environment received an Environmental Justice grant from the California Department of Transportation, to analyze diesel pollution in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco. We worked with a non-profit group, Greenaction for Health and the Environment, to conduct outreach and solicit community input. With assistance from technical consultants, ICF Jones and Stokes, a report was prepared that analyzes the diesel pollution sources, analyzes the potential health risks associated with diesel pollution sources in the Bayview community, and identifies some actions and measures that can be taken to help prevent and reduce diesel pollution in the Bayview community.
